Our goal is to understand how networks of neurons interact to govern behavior. To do this, we investigate the structure and function of neuronal sensorimotor circuits that control and regulate innate motor behaviors, using a combination of modern neurobiological techniques. We believe that our application of curiosity- and hypothesis-driven science fills a key niche in the global research effort to understand functions and dysfunctions of the nervous system.
